End of lease cleaning checklist for Sydney rentals

Kitchen
- Oven fully degreased — racks, trays, glass door inside and out
- Cooktop, rangehood filters and splashback degreased
- Inside, outside and on top of all cupboards and drawers
- Benchtops, sink and tapware descaled and polished
- Dishwasher filter and seals cleaned
- Fridge cavity and behind/under appliances (where movable)
Bathrooms & laundry
- Shower screens descaled — no soap scum or water marks
- Grout scrubbed, mould treated on silicone and ceiling
- Toilet cleaned inside, outside, behind and at the base

- Exhaust fan covers removed and washed

Does the property need to be empty first?
Yes. Bond cleans are done on an empty property so every surface, cupboard and floor area can be reached. Remove all furniture and rubbish beforehand.
What happens if the agent isn't happy?

Is carpet steam cleaning required for bond back?
